| Q: How will applying Normalizing Day Oil help treat my oily skin? |
|
A: In Normalizing Day Oil, five healing herbs, each extracted in a
different, high quality such as apricot kernel, jojoba, wheat germ oil etc. are
contained, forming a unique combination. Supplementing the skin with a small amount of this oil
which contains healing plants that calm the skin
and are anti – inflammatory actually sends a message to the sebaceous
glands to slow down and help refine the pores once the skin is regulated.
Treating oily skin with conventional drying agents the sebaceous glands to produce more oil. Additional problems are created – the surface layer dries out, the hornification process is disturbed and oils become congested below the surface, often causing inflamed pustules and clogged pores. |

| Q: If I am allergic to peanuts, should I be concerned about the peanut oil as an ingredient in Dr Hauschka Skin Care preparations? |
| A: Peanut Oil is used as a neutral carrier for the healing extracts contained in some Dr Hauschka Skin Care preparations. Allergic reactions to peanuts and other legumes are caused by the proteins and amino acids contained within the seeds. Fortunately these substances are soluble in oil and are separated out during the extraction process. The peanut oil in our products is treated with steam and filtered, completely removing all traces of protein and amino acids. The likelihood, therefore, of an allergic reaction to the peanut oil used in Dr Hauschka Skin Care preparations is extremely low. Allergic reactions only occur when proteins of the peanut enter the body. Dr Hauschka Skin Care preparations are only applied externally. |
